Homestead College of Bible was founded to restore the revitalizing knowledge of the Bible, the Scriptures, the Word of God to the people of God for their personal wisdom and strength and thereby reactivating in them the great principles of the Word of God to all of society, as that superior wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that has distinguished Western Civilization from its beginning and made it the envy of all the world.

Our History

The founder of Homestead College Bible, Dr. Arnold V. Pent, graduated from Wheaton College in 1922 with a fervent desire to develop an accredited Bible college that was focused solely on the Scriptures. His granddaughter, Tabitha Pent Gatewood graduated from Wheaton College in the year when Reverend Billy Graham was the featured speaker, celebrating his 50th anniversary after graduating from Wheaton College.

With their eight children, Arnold V. Pent and his wife, Persis Eames Pent, traveled 1,000,000 miles to promote daily family Bible reading. Their son Arnold Pent wrote the book "10 peas in a pod," which was a bestseller during the explosion of homeschooling. Their oldest son, David Arnold Pent, who could recite the entire New Testament for memory and was "brilliant," perfected the curriculum very efficiently.
